About

I am a free-lance photographer from Madrid who is available to work in any part of the world.

The majority of my current photography work comes from commissions, although I have lately also been involved in painting, graphic design, illustration and 3-D design projects.

My own artistic work is comprised largely of photographs. Although this work is of a personal nature, and I have decided not to use it professionally for now, you can see it on this webpage.

I began my career as a self-taught photographer around 1998, as clumsily as anyone, I suppose. I later decided to focus my efforts by studying photography and began to see the results of my work. You can see some of the photos from this period under the “old work” heading. Later, my interests grew to include other disciplines and decided to study Fine Arts. I took a short break from photography at that point, which ended with the award of a fellowship from the Fundación Antonio Gala in Córdoba, Spain, to spend one year as a resident artist. It was there that I begun to study the world of digital photography, which would be much more rewarding in the future that I could have imagined at that time. At the end of the fellowship I completed my university studies and decided to become a professional photographer.

At the moment my work is dedicated to experimenting with light and pixelization in digital photography. I am interested in the pictorial effects that this new medium can offer. Within the framework of a typical commission (a fashion shoot, advertisement, or a wedding), I intend to bring the client the possibility of choosing an innovative type of image, guided by an eye accustomed to other media.

I am most attracted to new challenges. I can say that, up to this point, I have felt proud of each one of my photographic projects at their completion. At the same time, however, reviewing my old work allows me to realize how much I could improve it now: therefore, I work hard in the present in order to improve the future.
